Closet

This room almost didn’t happen. I was planning to make it a ladies maid’s room which would have been more in keeping with the period but dammit I really wanted to make a ladies shop style walk in closet! Since it is my house I made the executive decision to do whatever I liked LOL

I started off with walls and flooring all scraps from other rooms and I ended up making it too pretty for maids quarters so a walk in closet it became…

As usual I built it out of card stock with resin curlicues for decoration. After painting it was time for the fun stuff. I needed to fill these shelves!

I made some tiny boxes of course but making her shoes and accessories was a blast. Scraps of fabric and trim transformed into tiny shoes hats and parasols. I found that little pots of beads for nail art were perfect size to add decorative detail to the hats and shoes

I had so much fun dressing Lady Anastasia that I wanted to make more dresses. So I bought a couple tiny mannikins and dressed them too I could have spent forever here making dress after dress but I resisted – that will be a future project

I had bought a tutorial online to help with Lady Anastasia and that gave me the general idea of how to construct the dresses. After that I was off to the races

They were all sewing free – just Ailenes tacky glue and lots of clamps
