Roof

It was very exciting and yet a little sad to get to the roof. I was happy to be nearing the end but …it was so much fun

I first cut template pout of mat board to make sure I was getting the angle rights since the roof is hipped. Any body else notice how expensive plywood got? LOL Mat board is a cheaper place to make mistakes

Once everything fit together I added a hinge to the top so I could open the attic and added my dormers and painted. Why oh why didn’t I paint the damn railings before attaching them…. Don’t make my mistake – paint first – much easier

Although I painted the very top grey I wanted to add shingles to the the rest of the roof and I just couldn’t face cutting out all those squares of paper. Instead I found Versatiles and that made life much easier

I drew lines to make sure they stayed straight and then just glued them on row by row. My favorite part was adding all the embellishments from my silicon molds
