Art Nouveau Dining Room
This turned out to be one of my favorite rooms! Again I built a lot of the furniture in advance so was eager to see how it would look in the final room. I wanted to go with a cranberry and gold palette here
I designed the furniture and cut out with my laser and created a pretty tulip fabric with crane panels for the seat backs. The table has intricate engraving on top and fancy legs, which I had originally intended to go the other direction but forgot when I was gluing and decided they looked just fine as is LOL
I totally went to town on the design of the floor – so much so I couldn’t face putting a rug down! Same with setting the table, I bought some pretty dishes but they will just have to wait for the next project to find a home🙂
The wallpaper was a mix of two designs I wanted to keep the crane them going so I color adjusted some existing crane wallpaper I found online to match my palette and then added a cranberry upper border and a lovely gold reeds pattern below the wainscoting
Both the upper moulding and the chair-rail are from silicone moulds and resin, painted with a mix of gold and black metallic
I designed a pretty ornate window surround with a window seat and then realized that I wasn’t sure how to add window treatments – didn’t want to cover up all that work!
I started printing out a design on organza printer fabric to make a sheer blind, then printed the same design on the bottom of the cream drapes. I added cranberry outer drapes with pelmets and a bunch of trim and tassels
Next up I added corner wall sconces, a pretty candelabra to dress up, but not cover, my naked table, a stained glass look ceiling panel and an elaborate chandelier Still need floral arrangements and details
