Stargazing Room
I had always planned a circular window, so now I was working on the top floor in the attic it was the perfect place. I decided that the lady of the house was also a woman interested in science and so she had her own telescope with which to gaze at the stars or just the beautiful Paris rooftops 🙂
I went with dark wallpaper and a midnight blue and gold sari fabric for the heavy drapes. I also added a half wall to separate the little
I made my little telescope completely from scratch and I am so proud of how it turned out! It is just toothpicks , dowels, bamboo skewers, wire and some inexpensive steampunk cogs I bought a bag of online I used the inside of a roll of tape to hold the legs in position while it dried. Worked like a charm LOL
I decide to make a Orrery also since I loved the little cogs so much. I confess I went a bit overboard with the cogs – just got carried away LOL
I made the planets from beads and wire and put them on wire or coffee straws at different heights
Finally I hung some science posters and added books, lighting and a constellation ceiling mural
